How the Stunning Process Works

The water bath electric stunner is the entry point of the slaughter line. Live birds are hung on the conveyor and pass through an electrified water bath. The voltage and pool height are adjustable to suit different bird breeds and sizes, ensuring consistent stunning across the entire batch.

Proper stunning reduces bird stress before bleeding, minimizes meat quality degradation caused by stress reactions and supports humane handling practices that are important for both product quality and industry standards.


The Bleeding Process

After stunning, birds enter the bleeding conveyor line. The conveyor holds each bird in a suspended position while blood drains completely from the body over approximately 2–3 minutes.

The bleeding conveyor line features a horizontal structure with a T-shaped guide rail, food-grade stainless steel hanging plates and airbag tensioning that keeps the conveyor chain at the correct tension. Running speed is adjustable to meet the specific bleeding time required by your process.
